Life is like a box of chocolates, Forrest Gump’s mother tells him. You never know what you’re going to get. Except, that is, with films badly dubbed into another language. Now a British film director is using artificial intelligence in an attempt to revolutionise how we watch foreign movies, by digitally editing an actor’s face to appear as if they are speaking the language into which the film is being dubbed.
