Flawless Wins 2026 HPA Award for Innovation in Post Production

We are delighted to share that Flawless has won the 2026 HPA Innovation Award for Innovation in Post Production.

The HPA Tech Retreat is one of the most respected gatherings of senior technology leaders in the entertainment industry, and this award carries particular weight because it is voted for by those leaders — the people building, deploying, and evaluating technology at the highest levels of film and television production. To be recognised by our peers makes this especially meaningful to everyone at Flawless.

The award was given for our assistive AI tool TrueSync – Flawless' facial performance editing technology that enables visual dubbing. In practice, this means translating dialogue into new languages while preserving what matters most: the actor's original performance, emotion, and timing. The result is a localised version of a film or series that feels true to the creative intent, not a compromise of it.

What makes TrueSync different is the philosophy behind it. It is built as an assistive tool – one that puts creative control in the hands of directors, editors, and performers, rather than replacing their judgment. It's technology that serves the story.

This recognition comes just one week after TrueSync was honored with a Lumiere Award, and taken together, the two feel significant. Assistive AI is no longer a future-facing conversation in our industry – it is becoming part of the professional toolkit. The fact that two major industry bodies have recognised the same technology within weeks of each other reflects a broader shift in how the post production community is thinking about what AI is actually for.
