Flawless Features in AWS AI Case Study

We’re excited to share that Flawless has been spotlighted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in a brand-new case study highlighting how our team modernized and scaled our AI infrastructure using Amazon EKS Hybrid Nodes.

AWS profiled how Flawless is using hybrid GPU infrastructure to accelerate research, streamline operations, and power our next generation of assistive AI tools for filmmakers. The feature includes in-depth insights from James Morgan, Principal Platform Engineer, and Will Ferguson, Director of Platform Engineering at Flawless.

Inside Flawless’s Journey to a Faster, More Scalable GPU Infrastructure

As Flawless continues to scale our visual dubbing and localization technologies to support major studios worldwide, the demands on our model-training and rendering infrastructure have grown significantly.

Working closely with AWS, we adopted Amazon EKS Hybrid Nodes—a new approach that unifies on-premises and cloud GPU resources under a single control plane. This shift has created a huge leap forward for our R&D and production teams.

Key improvements highlighted in the AWS case study include:

  • 5× increase in rendering speed for DeepEditor workloads

  • Training cycles reduced from weeks to just a few days

  • Centralized, automated scheduling for researchers using KAI, Kueue, Karpenter, and KEDA

  • Lower operational overhead, allowing our teams to stay focused on innovation

  • Seamless ability to burst into AWS as workloads scale

As James Morgan shared with AWS:

“Because of our growth, we needed to significantly scale our operations. Amazon EKS Hybrid Nodes presented us with a cost-efficient scaling solution.”

A Collaborative Effort With AWS Support

The AWS case study also highlights the close collaboration between Flawless and AWS Support, who helped accelerate networking, orchestration, and GPU-integration work across our hybrid environment.

Will Ferguson noted:

“When we had queries or questions, the AWS team was there to answer them. That support helped speed up the project. An issue that might have taken weeks of debugging could be solved in a few days.”

This partnership was instrumental in helping us build an infrastructure foundation that supports rapid iteration, more experiments, and faster delivery of research breakthroughs into production.

Powering the Future of Creative AI

At Flawless, our mission is to build artist-first, assistive AI that empowers filmmakers, protects creativity, and expands global storytelling. Modernizing our compute infrastructure is an essential part of delivering on that mission.

With Amazon EKS Hybrid Nodes, we now have the flexibility, scale, and performance to support our growing customer base while continuing to push the boundaries of what’s possible in visual dubbing and localization.

We’re proud to see this work recognized by AWS—and we’re just getting started.
