Board Member
Amit is a technology founder and operator in Los Angeles. He’s helped build and lead teams across early-stage startups and public companies.
He began his career in the movie business, working in business development and strategy at Universal Pictures. In 2005, he joined MySpace in an entry-level role, working his way up to become COO. Along the way, he helped transform the company from a startup to a profitable global business with $1B in revenue, 2K employees, and 125M users worldwide. He led MySpace in its $900M multi-year partnership with Google and joint-venture with all major music labels and publishers. In 2009, Amit co-founded Gravity, a pioneering AI personalization company. As CEO, he grew Gravity into the leading personalization engine for publishers and brands online. He also co-authored several foundational internet personalization patents. Gravity was acquired by AOL for $100M in 2014. Following the acquisition, Amit became President of AOL’s Publisher Platform, a $750M revenue business in the then public company.
Amit serves as a board member, investor, and advisor to several technology start-ups and is currently an Executive in Residence at Redpoint Ventures. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
